Open Science Grid

"The Open Science Grid is a distributed computing infrastructure for large-scale scientific research, built and operated by a consortium of universities, national laboratories, scientific collaborations and software developers...

..to facilitate the use of cyberinfrastructure in secondary science education, OSG is collaborating with the NSF pilot project “Interactions in Understanding The Universe” (I2U2), as well with the TeraGrid in its Education and Training activities. The Mariachi experiment to detect extreme energy cosmic rays (EECRs) is also a member of OSG and participates in education and outreach activities."
